How to transfer Google Search Console Code to Tag Manager Container

In this help doc you will learn how to transfer your Google Search Console code into your (already set up) Google Tag Manager Container. If you are not sure how to set up a Google Tag Manager account, please read this help doc first.

Step 1: Make sure you are logged in to your Google account.

Step 2: Go to the Google Search Console https://search.google.com/search-console

Step 3: Type your website URL into the text box, then click "Add Property"

Step 4: Select Alternate Methods, then choose "Google Tag Manager" and click "Verify" at the bottom.

You should now receive a notice letting you know that you have successfully verified your domain. Click continue and you are finished.
