How to transfer Google AdWords Remarketing Code to Tag Manager Container

In this help doc you will learn how to transfer your Google AdWords Remarketing code into your (already set up) Google Tag Manager Container. If you are not sure how to set up a Google Tag Manager account, please read this help doc first.

Step 1: Make sure you are logged in to your Google account

Step 2: Go to your Google Tag Manager Account, located here: https://tagmanager.google.com

Step 3: When you arrive at the Tag Manager, click "Container" from the very top menu

Step 4: Click "Add a new Tag" to begin creating your Google AdWords Remarketing tag in the existing container. If you have no container, please read this help doc first: http://support.realtyninja.com/article/261-how-to-setup-google-tag-manager

Step 5: Rename your new Tag, select Google AdWords from the products offered below, then click Continue.

Step 6: Now select the Tag type. In this case it would be a Google Remarketing Tag. Select it, and click Continue.

Step 7: Enter your "Conversion ID" into the text field. Leave everything else as is and click continue. NOTE: If you do not know how to find your Google AdWords Conversion ID, see second screenshot labeled 7A below.

Step 8: Select the option to fire on "All Pages", then click "Create Tag"

Congratulations. You have now created a new Google AdWords Remarketing tag, linked to your Google AdWords account.
