Setting up 301 Redirects

A 301 redirect is a permanent redirect from one URL to another. It is used to indicate to search engines and web browsers that a page has been moved to a new location.

Using a 301 redirect can have benefits in a number of scenarios, for example when migrating a website to RealtyNinja. It can help to preserve the search engine rankings and traffic of the original URL (on the previous website) by passing most of the link equity to the new URL (on the new website).

There's a handy tool in the backend of your RealtyNinja website that allows you to easily create 301 redirects.

To use this new tool simply login to your website (yourwebsite.com/login) then:

1. Click "Settings"
2. Click "URL Redirects"
3. Check the "Enable 301 Redirect Functionality" option
4. Type in (or paste) your 301 redirects, using the following format:

/from/url -> /to/url
