Getting A Direct Link To Individual Listings On An MLS®/IDX Widget Account

Note: You can simply copy the URL of the page for all MLS®/IDX Widget accounts created after June 2024. The instructions below are for MLS®/IDX Widget accounts created before June 2024.

It is common to want to link directly to an individual listing in an e-mail, blog post, social media post, etc. For full RealtyNinja sites this is a cinch; you just copy the URL to the page in your browser and you are good to go.

For embedded IDX listings it's a bit trickier of a process, because the URL in the browser bar is the URL to the parent site (www.yoursite.com), not the actual listing.

Step 1: Scroll down to the bottom of the listing. There is a small box above the "Request More Information" area with 4 links inside it. Click "View Link To This Property".

Step 2: A new tab in your browser will have opened displaying the same listing you were just looking at in the other tab. If you look up at your browser tabs and URL bar, you will notice that A) this is a duplicated tab that was opened when you clicked "View Link To This Property", and B) you've got a unique URL to link directly to this listing now!

Step 3: Highlight the unique listing URL that opened in the new tab using your mouse, then copy that URL by right clicking on the highlighted area with your mouse, then clicking "Copy".

In the screenshot example above, my unique listing URL is highlighted in red and the MLS# of the listing is isolated at the very end of the URL, after the 'equals' sign (if you need it!): www.yourwebsite.com/realestate/townhouses-for-sale/?mlslistingid=R2050601 <--

[-_-]~~ Ninja Tip: You can highlight and copy the unique listing URL really quick using the following keyboard shortcuts in order:

PC: Press CTRL + L (to highlight URL), then Press CTRL + C (to copy URL)

MAC: Press CMD + L (to highlight URL), then Press CMD + C (to copy URL)

Step 4: Now you're ready to paste this listing into an e-mail, into a Facebook post, into a SMS message, or wherever else you need to. To share the link, just click your mouse cursor where you plan on pasting the URL. Then right click that area, and click "Paste" (Or just click CTRL + V on a PC or CMD + V on a Mac to Paste).
