Getting Started Guide: Listings-Only (IDX) Embeds

Listings-Only (IDX/MLS®) accounts are for agents that already have their own non-RealtyNinja website that they wish to keep, but are looking to enhance it with our MLS®/IDX functionality. It's not a direct MLS® data feed, but it allows you to embed our MLS®/IDX functionality into the pages on your site.

Setting your domain name

Before using embed codes (even for testing purposes) on your non-RealtyNinja website you must fill in the domain name setting first.

Which types of pages can be embedded

Listings

• Active Listings, including custom listing groups (ie: My Favourite Listings)
• Sold Listings

Buildings

• Buildings, including custom building groups

MLS Searches

• MLS searches, Including niche MLS searches

Where to find embed codes and how to use them

To copy the embed code for an existing page (including MLS® searches, active listing pages, etc.):

1. Login to your RealtyNinja IDX account if you haven't already
   
2. Click MANAGE PAGES 
3. Click the "View Embed Code" icon for the page you wish to embed onto your site
   

   

4. Choose your size (we recommend "responsive")
5. Copy the code provided (select all > copy)
6. Paste the code in your HTML document, where you would like it to appear (in your BODY tag)

To copy the embed code for an individual listing or building:

1. Login to your RealtyNinja IDX account if you haven't already
2. Click LISTINGS (or BUILDINGS)
3. Click the "View Embed Code" icon for the listing (or building) you wish to embed (you'll find it on the right side beside each listing or building)
   

   

4. Choose your size (we recommend "responsive") and copy the code provided (select all > copy)
5. Paste the code in your HTML document, where you would like it to appear (in your BODY tag)

The embed codes work by dynamically loading an iFrame on your non-RealtyNinja website, wherever you place the code in your HTML document. Instructions will be different depending on which website platform or system you are using.

Adding your own custom code and CSS styles

You can apply your own layer of custom code and CSS (on top of the default styles) in the backend of your IDX account. Just go to Settings > Custom Code.
